I'm an avid word game player. I always brought the word games to family gatherings. Even from a young age one of my Christmas gifts was the newest word game. No wonder I became a teacher.

I have taught for over forty years and the best part of that was teaching learners of all ages from 4 to adults on four different continents how to read, a major part of that was building words, a strong vocabulary.

I have been a Principal and a business owner for 21+ years and know the value of a robust vocabulary. That's why I created "Build a Word - Exercises In Building Your Vocabulary," to give your learner a leg up in school now and for their future success.

*****NOTE for PARENTS: Learners will need a dictionary or online access with parental consent in order to look up definitions of vocabulary words introduced in each lesson. An English dictionary would be great to have so learners could learn how to actually look up the words in a hard copy dictionary [optional of course but highly recommended and a great learning experience].
