In this one time class, we will begin by learning about the purpose of a budget and why it is an important tool to use in order to be financially successful now and in the future. We will discuss the parts of a budget and what information will be needed to complete each section. Students will then create their own budgets using a template in Google Sheets. We will then discuss methods for tracking spending throughout the month so that we can stay on budget. Finally, we will discuss how to evaluate our budgets at the end of the month in order to make any needed adjustments.

Parental Guidance
In this class, students will use Google Sheets to create a budget. They will need to be able to open and edit a template. The Google Suite does require students to create an account using an email address.
Supply List
A digital budget template will be provided. Students will need to access and edit this template in Google Sheets.
