Welcome to the Budgeting and Big Dreams 4-week online course for 14 to 18-year-olds! Explore money mindset, goal setting, and budgeting strategies to turn aspirations into actionable plans. Week 1 - Money Mindset Week 2 - Design Your Money Story Week 3 - Budget Types Week 4 - Budgets for now and the future Learners will learn the importance of a budget, how to create one, and how to stick with it. Learners will learn about the power of compound interest and how to start saving early. Design Your Money Story: Participants will learn about the different types of debt, such as credit card debt and student loans and creatively design a new money story. Learners will engage in games, lectures, slides, group discussions to better understand of budgeting and planning for the future. I love to incorporate pop culture references to help aid young learners in budgeting and cultivating big dreams!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to save for things they desire like a car, emergency savings, and preparing for the future!

Hi! I'm Miss Jasmine, a former military officer turned startup founder. I help young people learn about money and life skills in a fun and easy way. Since 2013, I've been coaching young adults and youth about financial literacy. My passion for money stems from my own debt-free story. I went from living in my car my senior year of college (because I didn't ask for help) to buying a property in my early 20s and paying off my student loans two years after graduation.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from High Point University and a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from Oklahoma State University. I am a Certified Financial Educator by the National Financial Educators Council and have taught thousands of students about financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and soft skills. One of my biggest accomplishments was creating a training program for financial managers in the Middle East and launching a test missile in the military!
