Profile
Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I am a certified teacher with a passion for support children in reading and writing. My classes will provide a variety of services for your student. I will offer small group lessons that strengthen your student's literacy foundation, individualized lessons (1-1) for readers who need extra support or to maintain pace over the summer. I will also be offering literature book circles for more advanced readers.

I have 14 years of experience with children ages 0-10 in a variety of settings. I am currently a reading interventionist at an Title 1 elementary school and I help students K-2 who have been identified as needing additional literacy support. I was a classroom teacher before stepping into my interventionist position, and I've taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade.

Teaching, to me, is about igniting curiosity and fostering deep understanding through hands-on activities, active participation, music, discussions, and interactive learning. I hope I can help bring the joy of reading, writing, and learning to your student!
