This is a fun and interactive discussion all about the broadway flops from the 1970's! The diamonds in the rough that were so close they could smell the greasepaint and the ones that never even made it to the big stage. We'll read the reviews, listen to the songs and get the juicy behind the scenes info that may have had a hand in their demise. Who knows, you may even find some new favorite songs! This class will feature: ~RACHEL LILY ROSENBLOOM AND DON'T YOU EVER FORGET IT ~SO LONG 174TH ST. ~MINNIES BOYS This class is great for that musical theater history buff or anyone who wants to learn a little something about the why's and how's of what goes into a show making it on Broadway. No prior experience or knowledge needed, just a love of the theater and stories! If you like this class, check out all my fabulous flops classes. Each one features a different group of fun shows!
Learning Goals
Students will gain a deeper appreciation of theater history and all the things that go into making a show work on the stage.
They will learn about shows and listen to music they may have never heard about before and broaden their horizons.
They will leave inspired by the hard work and perseverance of actors, directors, composers and producers from these shows that never made the big leagues.
They will learn that just because you didn't make it once doesn't mean you can't make it in the future! Keep trying and keep learning and your time will come!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I created and directed a cabaret show here in Las Vegas centered all around the flop musical! It ran on 4 separate nights featuring different shows each time. I did a TON of research and dug up some golden information about these shows and I can't wait to share them with you in class!
