This class will carry on from British Royals 1 although one does not have to take British Royals 1 to do this class. We will look at the Queen's grandchildren and her children and see how their roles impact the world. Finally, we will look at how Princess Diana changed the Royals forever. Week 1: The Queen's mother and her sister Margaret. The Queen's mother's role when the Queen was younger and then how her role changed when The Queen became Queen of England. The Queen's relationship with her sister. Week 2: Prince Harry and Meghan their lives as Royals and their departure from the Royal family. Week 3: The Queen's children-- Anne, Andrew, and Edward-- how they play an important part in representing the queen. (Prince Charles and his wife Camilla were covered in British Royals 1) Week 4: The Queen's other grandchildren-- Zara, Peter, Beatrice, Eugenie, Sophie, and James (Prince William and his wife were covered in British Royals 1) Week 5: How Princess Di changed the Royals forever and how her fashion, her kindness, and death changed England and the world. *Subject to change
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the Royals in England, what makes them unique, their roles, and how they impact our world. Each Royal has changed how we see the Royal family. We will see how this has impacted the Royal family and learn how the future of the Royals in England is changing.
