Paula C. My name is Paula, Brazilian and born in Rio de Janeiro. I have been a preschool teacher for 32 years. I trained as a teacher at Colégio Ignácio Azevedo do Amaral, in Rio de Janeiro. I teach Portuguese language classes in various types of school environments, for adults and children aged between 5 and 30. My goal is to make learning fun, engaging and interactive. My hobbies include reading, watching series, running, swimming and meditating. I love traveling and cooking too! Diana Carla Mota - Guest Teacher Ms. Diana is our occasional guest teacher. She is Brazilian and loves teaching and connecting with her students. Diana has a teaching degree in Brazilian Portuguese from UNICESUMAR University. She works with foreign students and is proud of the great progress her students are making. Diana says, “Many of my students are already speaking in Portuguese for the whole lesson, during which I focus on developing their speaking, reading and writing skills along with grammar exercises.” Lounis K. - Guest Teacher Teaches: Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, English and Arabic Mr. Lounis is a proud polyglot and teaches 6 languages. Lounis graduated with a degree in Interpreting and Translation. Lounis began his teaching career preparing many students for different tests such as the TOEIC. Lounis intends on teaching the four basic language skills (speaking, writing, reading and listening) as well as language test preparation. Lounis enjoys going for walks, cooking, playing soccer, watching movies, and spending time with his family. He looks forward to meeting all his students! Lounis is a fluent speaker of Portuguese, he learned the language from close Brazilian friends and the language was a simple addition to his repertoire of languages because of his extensive background and experience with other Latin languages. He is also a Portuguese interpreter and translator.

Frequency: includedDetails: Learner progress will be assessed daily during each lesson as the teacher sees and hears that the student has become independent in reciting the information learned during lessons and routines. Students will be able to ask and answer questions on their own. Students will have individual turns to demonstrate progress and understanding. Parents can also assess their own child's progress as they become more independent during their participation in class as well as how they are using learned information outside of class.
Teacher will post worksheets each week to be printed off by parents and completed by students.
It will be helpful if students can access their writing tools on zoom which can be found on the tool bar under "annotate" or "view options". Teacher can work around this if using the tool bar is not an option for the student. In this case, student should have a paper and writing utensil handy so that they can participate in writing or drawing activities.
Teacher will post worksheets each week to be printed off by parents and completed by students.
