In this class your child will play an engaging game of brain teaser Jeopardy. What is a brain teaser? Brain teasers provide game-based learning in the form of a puzzle that require both creative and complex thinking skills to solve. How the game is played: *There are three categories of brain teasers (language, math and visual): Under each category are three point values (100, 200 and 300) that can be selected. As the points increase, so does the difficulty level of the brain teaser. 1: The first person to go picks a category and a point value. 2: The teacher will explain the brain teaser for the category/point value that was selected. 3: All learners will have two minutes to solve the brain teaser. 4: After the two minutes, students will share their answer. 5: Any students with the correct answer will be rewarded the points for that category. 6: This will repeat until all categories and amounts have been played. +Please note there is a second Brain Teaser Jeopardy class available, they can be taken in any order. They both provide similar content, but with a different set of brain teasers. If you really enjoy one class, I would love to see you in the other class!
Learning Goals
In this class students will strengthen problem solving and critical thinking skills, by learning to work through a problem until it is solved. These are important skills that can be carried over into the everyday classroom.
