𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆'𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒆 (𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆'𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒆 in the U.S.) is a fast-paced book that is not only full of adventure, but it’s also funny, interesting, and affords us plenty of opportunities to talk about showing empathy for others.

Written by Roald Dahl in 1981, George is a young boy who is tasked with staying home and watching his grandmother, a cantankerous and unkind lady. According to Dahl, she is the "most horrid, grizzly old grunion of a grandma ever." But what if George could create a medicine that changes all of that?

You can choose to read or listen to an audio version of the book. We’ll split the book into 3 sections and read one section per week. For 𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒓𝒈𝒆'𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑴𝒆𝒅𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒆, our schedule will look like this:

Session/Week One: In-class intro (you do not have to read anything before our first session)
Session/Week Two: Come to class having read Chapters 1-8
Session/Week Three: Come to class having read Chapters 7-15

Don't worry! The chapters are really short.

Love reading? Enjoy talking about your favorite books with other kids who do, too? Join us!
