Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 7
This book will teach themes and symbols through a story about two children that adventure in an imaginary land of Terabithia. Through this book, I will teach children how to read between the lines and connect to a story. There are many lessons to be learned from Bridge to Terabithia. The first fifteen minutes of class will go over what learners read for homework. I will ask questions and spark a conversation with learners. We will work on a graphic organizer called squares together to keep track of comprehension. We will read about 2 chapters every class, complete graphic organizers together, and make connections to our own lives, other books, and to the world. Learners will discuss for more than half of the class together. They can write in the chat to each other as well! Learners will also be able to watch the Bridge to Terabithia movie and discuss with each other! The last class will be a writing prompt to teach how to answer a question in depth with elaboration with specific examples from the book.

Class 1 - Chapters 1 - 2
Class 2 - Chapters 5 - 6
Class 3 - Chapters 8 - 9
Class 4 - Chapter 12 - 13

Bachelor's Degree in Education from Rider University
I am a Rider University graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Elementary Education. I also studied Early Childhood Education, Middle School Education, and Entrepreneurial Studies.

I grew up in South Brunswick, New Jersey and was fortunate to have an amazing educational journey with fantastic teachers. I remember moments in my childhood, where I begged my parents for a chalkboard and education workbooks in order to pretend I was a teacher to my stuffed animals. It was not until I had inspiring, extraordinary educators in my life that I turned this pretend play into my lifelong dream.

Every child needs a role model to look up to and I will be an inspirational guide for children throughout their educational journey. When I am not in the classroom, I provide year round tutoring and babysitting services. I also work with children at a summer day camp. My goal in life is to make a positive difference in as many lives possible and help children to grow into unique individuals with their own shaped beliefs and values.

One of my passions is helping others by organizing a variety of community service events to benefit people in need. Every year, as creator and team captain, I organize a fundraiser for the Alzheimer's Association in honor of my grandmother and in memory of my great aunt. I would love to incorporate my passion for community service into the school community to shape students into well-rounded, responsible, and educated individuals.

No matter one's age, there is always more to be learned. I want to continue my educational journey as a teacher. I will use my knowledge to tackle any challenge that comes my way. No challenge can stop me from my dream and goals of positively changing lives around me.
