This is an English Reading Book Club for students who are developing their love of reading, writing, thinking and sharing their ideas. This class is aimed at readers to broaden their vocabulary, improve recognition of words, develop phonics and handwriting too. Learners will develop their reading fluency, comprehension skills including knowledge of phonics, vocabulary, guessing meaning of words from context, sharing ideas and developing communication skills. Week of 2/12/24 - Paws Off, Cheddarface! Week of 9/12/24 - Red Pizzas for a Blue Count Week of 16/12/24 - Attack Of The Bandit Cats Week of 23/12/24 - All Because of a Cup Of Coffee Week of 30/12/24 - Back In Time Week of 6/1/25 - Flight of the Red Bandit Week of 13/1/25 - The Karate Mouse Week of 20/1/25 - The Mystery of Venice Week of 27/1/25 - Lost Treasure of the Emerald Eye Week of 3/2/25 - The Curse of the Cheese Pyramid Week of 10/2/25 - Cat and Mouse in a Haunted House Week of 17/2/25 - I'm Too Fond of My Fur! Week of 24/2/25 - Four Mice Deep in the Jungle Geronimo Stilton books can be read in any order so learners can join at any point. When we get to the end of the cycle, we will return to the beginning. Each week will include vocabulary, comprehension and input. Learners will be encouraged to share their ideas in a variety of ways in class. Parental Guidance
Please note, this is an English language class. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own teaching materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.
Supply List
All materials will be provided for the course. The books are required for this class. Students may use e-books, hardcopy and paperbacks, or audiobooks to read and comprehend the text.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
