Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Hello fellow dragon lovers! Join me in this one time class to talk about the first book in the Wings of Fire series, "The Dragonet Prophecy" by Tui T. Sutherland. Students will learn to discuss many different story elements. Discussions will cover character growth, storylines, likes, dislikes, and more. We will discuss many important themes found in this wonderful book. Students can share their favorite characters, moments, and other ideas relating to the book in a social setting with their peers. We will also discuss our theories about this first book and where the author will take this series in the many books to follow.

Class will begin with an icebreaker activity or game to help students feel comfortable interacting in this classroom. I strive to design classes where students are all given a chance to talk in class. After the first activity I will use a slideshow created with google slides to organize the discussion.

As a teacher, my goal is to ensure all students have the opportunity to learn something new in a fun and inviting way. I hope my students all walk away from this class feeling as though they have shared their thoughts and ideas with their peers.

Hello, my name is Ms. Tasha. I have many years of experience working with children in various classroom settings. With four years of experience working in a virtual classroom, I am confident that your learner will feel comfortable and excited to come to class. I also have a bachelor's degree in behavioral science, with a concentration in Psychology. I have completed many English and Writing courses throughout my college adventure as well. I am excited to share my love of reading and writing with your students.

I will be offering mostly reading and writing based classed geared toward all levels. My classes are designed to enhance reading skills. Learners will increase reading fluency and improve comprehension. As for writing courses, learners can gain valuable skills to develop their writing ability in many different genres. While I mostly focus on reading and writing skills, I also offer classes involving animals, Disney movies, dress up, and much more.

I believe that children retain most information if they can connect to the material they are learning about. I strive to create a upbeat, fun classroom where all students feel excepted and free to express themselves. Learning can be fun when taught in creative and exciting ways. All of my offered classes are designed to keep your learners engaged with activities. Learners also participate in discussions and gain instruction in a positive learning environment.
I look forward to meeting your learners soon!
