I have long been a fan of HP. From the time my mother started reading the books aloud to me as a child I have been enthralled. During my teenage and college years I wrote many short stories for fan fiction. I've read most trivia books and taken thousands of HP themed quizzes including personality and trivia. I've read each book and seen each movie multiple times. I also enjoy reading fan fiction and keeping up to date with the goings on of the HP universe. The Book we are reading in this class was published in 2019 and is a wonderful companion book for fans of HP.
Homework Offered
Required Homework: Reading of assigned pages each week (See weekly topics, a handout with the exact page numbers will be provided at the start of class) Optional Homework: Weekly reflection on reading and class discussion (see assessment options) Optional: Extra Reading sources to learn more about weekly witches.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learners will be informally assessed on their participation in the class discussions. This class is a book club so participation is necessary. Formal Assessment Option: Learners who turn in a written reflection on the weeks readings and the class discussion can receive a Letter Grade and/or Written Report by Request.Grades Offered
