In this ongoing book club, learners will read and discuss a Dino book each week developing their comprehension, vocabulary, spelling and more! Week of 18/11/24 - Curious George: Dinosaur Tracks Week of 25/11/24 - Curious George: Librarian for a Day Week of 2/12/24 - Curious George: Home Run Week of 9/12/24 - Curious George: A Home for Honeybees Week of 16/12/24 - Curious George Builds an Igloo Week of 23/12/24 - Curious George: The Boat Show Week of 30/12/24 - Curious George: Roller Coaster Week of 6/1/25 - Curious George: A Winter's Nap Week of 13/1/25 - Curious George Plays Mini Golf Further classes will be added. Learners can join the class at any point. This is an ongoing course so each class stands alone. We focus on a different theme from the books each week whilst developing comprehension skills, grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing. Learners can join the class no matter how much of the series they have read. Each week will include a range of teaching activities including reading out loud, videos, discussions, activity sheets, Q+A, slides and more. Parental Guidance
Please note, this is an English language class to develop comprehension and vocabulary. This is not a 'read along' class. Our own materials are used to teach learners during this course. The focus of the classes is to develop language including, phonics, vocabulary, grammar, comprehension, fluency and writing skills.
Supply List
Learners will need a notebook, pencil and crayons for each class. The books are required for this class. Students may use e-books, hardcopy and paperbacks, or audiobooks to read and comprehend the text.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
