This is a two class course that will cover a book series of the entire story of “A Christmas Carol.”  The first and last lessons will be a bit longer to introduce and conclude the series and related activities.  Many reading comprehension skills will be addressed through this book series including: Asking And answering questions, plot and character analysis, summarizing, vocabulary support and much more

We will use Google Apps for the lesson and the stories come from Raz-Plus while we listen and discuss the story.  I teach using a mix of materials based on your child's learning style.  In the class, there will be a variety of lesson types that include direct teaching, practice, games and interactive content and opportunities for your child to show what they have mastered.

Lesson 1:
A Christmas Carol: Part 1
 The first class will introduce Charles Dickens and cover the first half of the book series.
  Book 1: Introduction to Scrooge 
  Book 2: The Ghost of Jacob Marley 
  Book 3 and 4: The Ghost of Christmas Past

A Christmas Carol: Part 2
 The second class with continue the story of Ebenezer Scrooge and students will determine if a person can actually change.
     Book 5-7: The Ghost of Christmas Present 
     Book 8-9: The Ghost of Yet to Come
     Book 10: Scrooge’s reaction

Learning Needs
All learner types will be valued and instruction will be tailored to meet the student's needs and learning goals.
Pre-Requisites
Learners need to have an understanding of elementary reading skills, however this course follows along with an audio version and will help improve student’s comprehension skills regardless of the student's reading level.
