Students will be given a written report to say how they performed. The report will include if they progressed, if they listened to instructions, and if they were able to stay focused and positive.Class Experience
Students will learn bodyweight exercises and how to properly warm up and cool down. They will have a warm up, do one set of exercises, get one break, do a second set, and they are told to do cool down after the class ends. This is perfect for any student who needs a little encouragement to get up and move or is a little restless and needs to work some of it out. I will demonstrate each exercise while students rest. Then while they exercise I will help them by critiquing form so that they are exercising safely and providing alternate exercises if the one in question is too rigorous. Throughout the class, they will learn different bodyweight exercises and then they will review 2 lessons later. So during lesson 1 the students will learn Pushups, Windshield Wipers, Crunches, L Ups, Mountain Climbers, V-Ups, Russian Twist, and Calf Raises then lesson 3 they will review these exercises so that they have a better chance of remembering them. In lessons 2 and 4 the students will learn Side Ups (R/L), Burpees, Crunch w/twist, Rotational Pushups, Double Leg Hip Ups, Jumping Jacks, and Sprinters. In lessons 5 and 7 the students will learn Star Pushups, Flutter kicks, Eagles, Heel Touches, Squats, Ball Ups, Calf Raises (Outward), and Legs Up & Reach. In lessons 6 and 8 Students will learn Front Plank w/Leg Lifts, pushup w/Knee Drive, Russian Twist, Back Plank, Calf Raises (Inward), alternate arm leg, Jump holds, and supermans. Lessons 9 and 10 will be student driven. We can learn more bodyweight activities to learn some ways to ingrate weights into workouts if students have weights. We review previous exercises. There are lots of options and the Students will pick what way those lessons go. My teaching style is based on high energy and enthusiasm. I want to show the students how fun exercising can be so that they will want to participate. This will be highly interactive and there is no required experience or knowledge.
