How is writing & grammar taught in school?
The standard and traditional way writing & grammar is typically taught is by separating the two subjects. For example, grammar is learning nouns one week and then verbs the next week, and so on and so on. Writing is completely separated from the context of learning grammar. This type of teaching takes weeks to learn basic foundational grammar and writing. We implement a completely different approach.

What sets me apart from the typical writing class?
I believe that learning should be fun and captivating, which is why I have incorporated interactive and engaging elements into my lessons. Say goodbye to dry textbooks and monotonous lectures! My PROVEN and INNOVATIVE APPROACH challenges and encourages students to learn multiple writing & grammar standards during each session by using positive repetitions! Learners strive for mastery and will increase their vocabulary skills.

During the weekend group session, students will be mastering 1st-grade common core writing & grammar standards. All classes will begin with a 5-minute Daily Check-in.

Classes may include but are not limited to:

Nouns, Adjectives, Verbs, Sight Words, Plural Nouns, Proper Nouns, Pronouns, Adverbs, Capitalization, Punctuation

⭐️Week by Week Weekend Classes:
Week 1: (Become Familiar with Parts of Speech) We will begin with the whole class brainstorming/collaborating on the first few repetitions. Students will become familiar with common nouns, adjectives, and verbs. Students will then be ready to write a sentence using all three parts of speech we generated as a class.
Week 2: (Adding Proper Nouns, Sight Words) Next, we will be adding sight words, proper nouns, singular nouns, and pronouns while still using nouns, adjectives, and verbs. Students will write 1-2 sentences using the parts of speech learned.
Week 3: (Adding Additional Parts of Speech) Next, we will be adding more parts of speech with nouns, adjectives, verbs, proper nouns, plural nouns, and pronouns. Students will write 1-3 sentences using parts of speech they have learned.
Week 4: (Writing Descriptive Sentences) Next, we will be adding more parts of speech with adverbs, nouns, adjectives, verbs, proper nouns, plural nouns, and pronouns. Students will write 2-3 sentences using parts of speech they have learned.
