This session is perfect for anyone interested in strange or unusual aspects of history, or just history in general. The tidbits discussed here are mostly sedate compared to some of the tawdry tales we've probably heard about the Vikings, but some content may be better suited for older students. However, mature students of younger age are welcome with parent/guardian approval.
While they will not be specifically referenced in the session, the material, facts and details came from the following sources: "Vikings: A History of the Northmen" by W. B. Bartlett; Amberly Publishing, 2021 "River Kings" by Cat Jarman; William Collins, 2021 "The Lives of the Norse Kings" by Snorri Sturluson; Dover Publications, 1991 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vikings https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norsemen "The Vikings: Who Were They?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkJy1b4q3WU
