In this one time class, we will take a look at 9 different biomes on our planet and how they are scientifically categorized according to the climate, plants, and animals that are most prevalent there.

In this class, we will take a look at what a biome is, what makes a biome, and the environment of 9 different biomes. We will also discuss how latitude and altitude affects a biome. Scientists differ on the exact number, or different types of biomes in existence, and the exact number of biomes in this world is still not known. We will cover 9 different biomes, including what are considered the main ones. Learners are encouraged to have the attached worksheet or a blank paper (any kind will do) and a pencil to "stop 'n' jot" as we go through the lesson. Also, attached is an optional word search. (: I look forward to seeing you in class as we learn about the terrestrial aspects of our planet!
