Class Experience

US Grade 4 - 6
In this course, students will learn to identify properties that are common to all living things. We will discuss seven traits that determine if something is living or not. We will also have a class discussion, supported by illustrations, about why a virus particle is not considered a living thing. In order to reinforce learning, several examples will be used to expand student understanding of each trait that characterizes life.

I will use inquiry-based teaching style with a combination of a PowerPoint presentation, videos and class discussion to teach this course. A handout will be available in the classroom announcement section on the day before class. Students must print the handout before class.
