This 6-week Biology speedy course covers key topics in the High School Biology Part I Curriculum. Upon successful completion, a learner will earn a certificate of completion and if requested a letter grade. With small class sizes, I'm able to provide individualized attention, creating an almost personalized learning experience for every student. It's like having a private tutor guiding your child every step of the way. The detailed curriculum: Week 1- Cell structure, eukaryotes, prokaryotes, organelles Week 2- Basic units (sugars, lipids, DNA, proteins) Week 3- biodiversity (kingdoms of life, binomial nomenclature, students assigned a project) Week 4- Biodiversity- student's presentations Week 5- Mitosis Week 6 -Genetics unit: punnet square, monohybrid crosses In my classes, I blend traditional frontal teaching with interactive group practice sessions. Using a combination of whiteboard illustrations and engaging PowerPoint presentations, I ensure that every concept comes to life. Homework assignments are given for reinforcement, with completed worksheets due before the next session. Moreover, students will have the chance to dive deeper into their learning through individual projects, culminating in exciting presentations to showcase their newfound knowledge to their peers. It's a dynamic learning experience that keeps students engaged and excited to learn more! Evaluation and Grades (optional): Upon successful completion of all required weekly homework assignments and passing the final assessment, students will receive a certificate of completion. If requested, this certificate will include a letter grade reflecting your performance. I am looking forward to teaching your learner!
Learning Goals
