Homework Offered
There is homework associated with this class. Students will be expected to read chapters from the textbook and take notes, so they are prepared for discussion in class. Students will also be expected to do weekly guided research projects to enhance the topic we're studying. There are also a couple of outside labs students are expected to complete, including doing a plot study of a small area around their home, and tracking their meals throughout one day.Assessments Offered
As a teacher that values individual progress, I am constantly monitoring my students for understanding in class. I adjust my teaching, as well as assignments and activities, based on the needs and learning of the students. Students receive feedback from myself and classmates on projects and longer labs. There are many opportunities for students to earn grades, should they want to. Weekly chapter reviews may be used as graded quizzes. Optional unit exams are available. Upon request of the parent, I will also provide letter grades or written evaluations.Grades Offered
