Bingo With 1st Grade Sight Words
In this 1 time class we will work on the first grade sight words by playing BINGO. We will also practice reading, writing and using them in sentences.

Sight words are so important for a reader and they can be tricky to learn to read and spell. During our game of Bingo we will learn how to recognize 1st grade sight words. We also will learn how to read them and use them correctly in sentences. Each child will be sent 1 unique bingo cards prior to the class. Make sure your child either prints (or recreates) this card so they can participate in class. Here is how our class will be structured: 1. Introduction and a quick get to know you 2. Bingo, teacher will read the words and students will find the words. 3. Practice reading and writing the words we found. 4. If time permits we will play again!
Learning Goals
Students will learn the first grade sight (dolch) words in order to help them be more successful readers and writers!

Bingo card (I will send and please print prior to class) Pennies, cereal or small items to mark their card Something to write with (notebook and pencil, or dry erase board and marker)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello and welcome to my profile! I'm a work-at-home mom to 3 year old little boy. I love reading, hanging out with family, teaching, and being a mom.
I have a degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in communications. I also have my master's degree in Reading Education. I taught 1st grade for 12 years before my son was born. I loved being able to teach my students how to read, write and do math and to see them soar with new knowledge! When my students understood something the lightbulb went on and it was the best thing ever!
