In this fun and engaging class, the each learner will practice reading and recognizing 1st grade Dolch sight words by playing a fun game 
 of mermaid themed bingo. Each learner will be sent a unique mermaid bingo card prior to class that can be printed.  Bingo cards will usually be sent the day before or shortly before class, if enrolling the day of. Learners can share their favorite mermaid toy or something they love about mermaids. Sight word bingo is a class that can be taken over and over because it is never the same. If the learner has taken the class before, they will receive a different unique card.

1. Introductions
2. Class expectations and a brief explanation of how to play bingo
3. Each learner, can share their stuffed mermaid, if they would like. 
4. Sharing a mermaid themed presentation, students will take turns reading the sight word and sharing a sentence, if they would like. We may spell or discuss words meaning. Students will look on their board and mark any words that they may have with small pieces such as cereal, beans, buttons, etc. 
5. We will celebrate each win. 
6. We may play multiple rounds, if time permits.
