Description
Class Experience
Students will learn new vocabulary, essential verbs, words and phrases, and have fun while learning Spanish with learners from around the world.
Romance languages use general rules to identify the gender of nouns and adjectives. Therefore, I will teach this class in the traditional manner as I do not have pedagogical training to teach neutral gender vocabulary using @ or X. If your learner has a non binary identity, I highly recommend having this conversation with your learner prior to enrollment and clearly indicate the preferred gender/pronoun so I can address your learner appropriately when asking general questions or saying general phrases (such as are you ready (¿Estás lista? ¿Estás listo? or referring to students as amiga (females and those who identify as females) or amigo (males and those who identify as males). z
Students are encouraged to review their work after each class, complete activities not finished in class, and to practice listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Enrolled learners will receive the materials in advance to have time to print. If you do not have a printer, that is ok. Materials can be viewed online in PDF format. Students should have a supply box with: pencils, crayons or colored pencils or markers, highlighters, glue, scissors. Earbuds/headphones are optional.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Learners will receive ongoing feedback throughout the session and written feedback is available upon request.
