Big Trucks! Singing and Story Time

This is a preschool music and story time class in a print rich and prop filled environment. We will get to know each other, and I'll give each student a chance to share with the class a toy or object on the theme, like a truck or car toy, puzzle or book. Then I'll show them their name card and practice the first letter and sound in their name. Next we will sing a 'hello' song together. I'll sing a phrase and the students will echo. After that, we will check in with our emotions and feelings, and I'll introduce and read the story book with lots of questions and interaction. After the story, we'll sing & move our bodies with a truck song as we pretend to drive our own truck. To close the class, I'll teach the students a simple 'goodbye' song.
