In this ongoing series of "Big Picture" histories, Mr. Powell of www.HistoryAtOurHouse.com will show you how to grasp the connection between past and present -- and really learn it! You will learn the method of Anchor Facts (TM) that can help you avoid the harmful perception that history is merely the boring "study of the past" and help you to understand Russia's place in the world we live in. No prior knowledge of Russian history is required. Parents and students who have tried to learn the history of Russia, but who have been frustrated by being unable to grasp the "big picture" will find the class especially helpful. Students who already understand parts of the story will finally see how they fit together! All participating families will receive access to both the live class and permanent access to the screencast recording for repeat learning and enjoyment. In addition, students will be guided to produce their own Anchor Fact(TM) timelines and narratives to cement their understanding. Higher levels courses will also be available as the 2016-17 progresses for junior and senior high students who need a more intensive insight into the world they see around them and who need help preparing to meet government standards for world history or college entrance requirements. It's never too late to start learning history properly once and for all! This is the BIG PICTURE of Russian History -- for you and your child.
