This on-time online course aims to introduce learners to various career opportunities in law enforcement, providing insights into the diverse roles, responsibilities, and pathways within the field. Through interactive and engaging activities, and/or expert insights, learners will gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to pursue a career in law enforcement and the different avenues available to them. During this course, learners will be able to: -Describe different career paths in law enforcement. -Identify key skills and qualities needed for a career in law enforcement (e.g., communication, problem-solving, physical fitness). -Understand educational requirements and training pathways. -Explain the importance of integrity, ethics, and diversity in law enforcement. Learners will have the opportunity to explore these topics through mini-lectures, interactive activities, discussions, and/or video clips.

With over 17 years of law enforcement experience in South Carolina, I began my career as a probation agent after completing the Criminal Justice Academy. Through dedication and hard work, I rose through the ranks to become a Criminal Justice Program Manager, where I focused on developing and implementing training programs for officers.
