Description
Class Experience
Students will read words with various vowel patterns and diphthongs in isolation and in decodable text.
I have experience as a first grade teacher and as a reading recovery teacher (working one on one with struggling students). I absolutely love teaching early literacy skills and helping students develop confidence and a love for reading and writing!
There is no extra work required. I will provide ideas and websites that would be helpful for extra practice as needed.
1-2 page practice sheet (provided) Whiteboard and marker
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents will receive a simple assessment form (optional) to complete before class begins and then again after 10 weeks to monitor progress.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
