Beginner Level
This 8 week course class will teach basic French conversation. Some of it will be formal, some informal. The students will repeat phrases, answer questions and interact with me and other students. Example: What did you have for breakfast today? What is your favorite color? They will learn new vocabulary in a visual way. Some of it will be nouns and adjectives; some of it will be verbs. They will draw pictures or do activities to recall the words. They will also learn about French culture. They will watch educational videos with songs to memorize and or recall words. They will watch cartoons to check their understanding or recognition of certain words or vocabulary. They will have full interaction with me. I will open up the forum for any questions as I welcome inquisitive and eager minds. A five minute break will be given in the middle of class in order for students to re-energize themselves, associate with the other students, catch up on anything they may have missed, and compose themselves for more learning. Students do not need to know anything prior. They just need to come to class with a willingness to learn and a cooperative spirit. This class will help them break out of their shell or comfort zone. They will come to see that they have the potential that they never realized they had. They will see something in themselves: an ability to communicate, think, and write in another language and enjoy it!
