Description
Class Experience
Students will work to improve the opening moves of their chess game, which requires skills like critical thinking, weighing options, and reading their opponents' moves.
Mr. K has been playing chess for over 25 years and has been teaching for over a decade.
There are no required supplies for this class. However, if you have a physical chess board you can follow along with during class, that has proven to be the most helpful way for students to interact with and learn the material.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
