In this class, we will learn about how to open up a checking and savings accounts, how to save money, how to use a debit card, how to write a check, how to balance a checkbook, and how to budget money. My teaching style is relaxed, but interactive. I encourage students to participate fully. I will give a powerpoint lecture, interspersed with discussion, questioning and answering. There will be two short videos that will further explain banking and how to manage money. This is a beginner's course, outlining the basics of these essential skills.
