Enjoy the band experience online. Playing music is such a rewarding pursuit and this class will be a first step toward musicianship. Each student will choose an instrument commonly seen in the band- flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone or tuba. Each week we will learn different musical concepts and practice them on our instruments. We will learn basic technique for each instrument and how to read music in their respective clefs. By the end...
Students will learn the first steps of playing a musical instrument, including tone production and fingerings. Students will also learn basic music theory in the form of note reading and rhythms.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental Education from Florida State University. I have taught band in both public and private schools. I have also taught private lessons on various band instruments.
