How is the class Structured: This is a Self Paced Course with 5 Lessons. Each lesson will be approximately 30-45 minutes. There will be one or two interrelated concepts...

- Students will be able to Recognize and use variables in expressions and equations Use Inverse Operations and Properties of Equality to keep equations balanced
- Learn the I,C,B,S process for solving for a variable in simple algebraic equations Create solutions tables for a basic if x then y statement and equation Simplify expressions by combining like terms.
- Taught in public school for over 20 years both in the classroom and coaching students outside the classroom. - Left public school teaching in 2016 and started my own Math Coaching Business. - I have a BS in Business Management, a minor in Technical Theater, and a Master's Degree in Education. - Work with the 5 Basic Elements of Algebra: Translate, Calculate, Evaluate, Simplify, and Solve - My goal is for all students that struggle with math, to begin understanding and excelling using basic mathematical reasoning skills, reviewing basic concepts needed for PreAlgebra or Beginning Algebra math classes, and to help build student confidence, clarity & skills for success.

Notes and Handout pages will be available to download and print. Students can fill in the notes pages and use for future reference as needed. Colored pencils are helpful but not required (for color coding steps and process)
