Class Experience

No experience necessary!
Students will be introduced to a selection of hand tools. They will learn how to use them safely (through demonstrations and discussion), then they will use the tools to create a simple wall hanging coat rack.

Class one: Learn to measure, mark and cut our wood using a hand saw.
You may need to finish cutting the wood in your own time after class.
Class two: Learners will assemble their product and apply the fixtures. We will learn how to measure, mark and use a drill safely.

I will teach:
How to measure and mark wood for cutting.
How to cut wood.
How to use a drill.
How to use a screwdriver and screws.
How to use glass paper.
How to apply a finish to wood.

Learners may need to complete practical tasks whilst muted so that I can be clearly heard when giving instructions.

Parent supervision will be required when students are completing the practical task.

Materials and tools are required to complete this class.

Follow on classes will be available after completion of the beginners class!

Please ask me any questions you may have!
