Class

Average rating:5.0Number of reviews:(3)
These are one-on-one lessons for beginner ukulele players ages 9-18

Class experience

This class is designed to make you a better ukulele player, and to give you a better understanding of music.
I am a professional singer-songwriter, and when I am not on the road I love to teach. I play the piano and ukulele as well as sing. I have a variety of ukuleles, and I even play an electric solid-body too!
Homework Offered
Learners will be asked to practice every day for at least 20-30 minutes. Lesson guides and worksheets will be provided for reference, and quizzes may be assigned to assess progress. There will be no "pop" quizzes, and no surprise tests.
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Learner will be consistently kept aware of progress via feedback during our lessons. Music is a great way to hear your own progress, and I feel like that motivates students very well. No letter grades will be given, but parents are more than welcome to request specifics about their child's progress. I am more than happy to oblige.
Grades Offered
Learner will be required to bring a ukulele to class. At times the learner may be required to print out worksheets, or at least be able to write down answers/edit planned quizzes, or worksheets. Learner will also need a ukulele tuner and a metronome, but these can be easily downloaded free on your phone, tablet, or found online :)
