In this ongoing class, students will have a chance to draw amazing summer Pusheen drawings and play fun interactive games!

This interactive summer Pusheen class will have students increase their love for drawing and Pusheen! I will make sure to show students step by step all the shapes and colors they need to incorporate into their drawings. I will also pace myself according to all the student's needs and communicate how to draw each object. Each drawing will be based on Pusheen doing a fun summer activity with her friends such as Pusheen at the beach, Pusheen at a Pool party, Pusheen scuba diving etc. If students are comfortable, students will share their drawings with the class and discuss how they added their own personal style to their drawing. Students can use markers, colored pencils, or crayons to color in their drawings. The students will also have the opportunity to play fun Pusheen games such as: -Would you rather with Pusheen -Summer scavenger hunt -Which Pusheen are you? -Guess the Pusheen character The overall layout of each week: Week 1 - Pusheen scuba diving drawing/ Game: Would you rather Week 2 - Pusheen pool party/ Game: Which Pusheen are you Week 3 - Pusheen Icecream/ Game: Summer scavenger hunt Week 4 - Pusheen at the beach/ Game: Guess the Pusheen character I will make sure to create a positive environment for all the students to be comfortable in sharing and discussing what they drew in class. My main goal for this class would be to make sure students express themselves through art and have fun creating their own Summer Pusheen drawing!

Hello! my name is Lasamee and I live in Georgia. I am currently enrolled in my senior year of college and my major is Early Childhood Education. I always had a passion for kids ever since my little brother and sister were born and want to continue my journey at Outschool! I have been volunteering and interning for 5 years at different elementary schools from grades K-5. I absolutely love to create hands-on activities, teach music, and teach reading and writing. I love to paint, color, and create crafts that help children think outside of the box. I also have been playing piano for 8 years and have been taking private lessons for 5 years. I have taken Chorus classes from 3rd grade through high school and continue to exercise my talents. I love to help children grow in reading, writing, math, and science. I also have experience teaching Chinese in China with grades K-1st grade. I have taken Elementary Chinese 1 and 2 in college and I am now expanding the language with my Chinese mother at home. I believe that scaffolding will help students grow the most in learning because it is important for children to grow independence. As a future educator, teachers are always looking for ways to learn how to motivate students. Being able to cultivate activities and practices into the classroom will help students grow the love for learning.
