Beginner Piano Lessons Class for Homeschooled Teens (Age 13-18)
Grab a friend or 2 and join me for this repeatable 4-week intro to piano class for teens! Students can join anytime. A great way to get a head start on the piano, prepare for private lessons, or simply try the piano!

Calling all homeschooled teens! This class is a weekly piano class for homeschooled teens ages 13-18 who are absolute beginners on the piano. Students will learn the basic skills of beginner piano lessons in an ongoing class that repeats after 4 weeks. It's a great way to prepare for piano lessons! Note: In order for the class to proceed, at least 2 students will need to be enrolled. :) After all, what's a group class with only 1, right? :) Students can join any week at any time since the material is taught in a non-cumulative style and repeats after 4 weeks. The teacher has extensive experience with piano students and an enthusiastic teaching style that inspires students and helps them enjoy their lessons. • Two camera views are provided, including an overhead view of the teacher's hands on the keyboard (so important!) • Before each class, students will receive a PDF of the materials I use. • After each class, students will receive an mp3 recording of each song recorded by the teacher for play-along practice. You can play these from a computer or a Bluetooth speaker (even better) placed near the piano so the student can hear the songs well in order to play along. • A class replay is automatically posted by Outschool within 24 hours of the lesson so students can watch the lesson again if they would like. Each student will need to have the following: ⭐️ a piano or keyboard ⭐️ printer to print the PDFs sent by the teacher ⭐️ a binder to place PDFs sent by the teacher ➡️ Please set the camera to the side of the piano, with a view of the student's face, hands, and keyboard.) ➡️ No phones please since they are too small. Students will learn: Week 1 - 1st Week of March - White Key Names, Finger Numbers, New Song Week 2 - 2nd Week of March - Intro to Pentascales (Key of C), New Song Week 3 - 3rd Week of March - Intro to Chords, Patterns, & Rhythm, Pentascale (Key of G), New Song Week 4 - 4th Week of March - Intro to the Grand Staff, New Song (Everything starts over after Week 4, so if you join during Week 2 you can simply take the classes in this order: Week 2, 3, 4, 1.)
