Class Experience

In this 18 week course, students will continue growing in their foundational piano skills as they practice reading and playing basic rhythms in the treble clef, the bass clef, and on the grand staff. This class is the follow up class to the "Beginner Piano Course- Semester 1" class. Students will continue growing their piano skills by learning short and fun exercises and melodic songs using their right hand, left hand, and eventually, hands together. The classes will be taught in a fun, interactive, and laid back style. The first 3-5 minutes of each class will be an interactive time for the students to get to know the teacher and other fellow students. Then, the class will proceed with reviewing the materials learned from the previous lesson, and then the new material will be taught. The final 5-10 minutes of the class will be an interactive game time where students will be asked to review with each other what they learned in the class. Students will receive weekly homework at the end of each lesson so they can keep practicing what they learned on the piano throughout the week. It is recommended for students to have completed the "Beginner Piano Course- Semester 1" course before taking this course. The only materials students will need for this class will be access to a keyboard or piano, a device with internet & a webcam (iphone, tablet, or laptop), and a pair of headphones.
