Hello, Bonjour and Welcome! Do you want your learner to learn French but don't know where to start? In this class we use fun weekly themes, games and reading to introduce sight words and key vocabulary to your little learner. Each week, the learners will be introduced to new French sight words through seeing, hearing, speaking, spelling and writing techniques. The French words will then be repeated and reinforced with fun, weekly themes and learning games through the interactive-style video recordings (totalling approximately 30 minutes of video each week). The learners will also work on reading and speaking text and various passages related to the week's theme and work up to reading short books! Learners are encouraged to verbally interact with the recordings and to complete reading, writing and speaking exercises along with the video instruction. Learners are also encouraged to respond to the class instruction with their own video or audio recording of them completing the reading/writing/speaking exercises and practising the week's sight words. Learners will be provided with weekly worksheets and fun Kahoot challenges following each week's theme! For this class, learners should already be familiar with the French alphabet and have a basic knowledge of the French spoken language.
Learning Goals
The learners will learn to recognize, speak, read and write new French sight words and improve their French reading skills and pronunciation wth fun weekly themes introducing and repeating new vocabulary.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, bonjour and welcome! My name is Tara and I am a lawyer turned preschool home-schooling mom of 2! We are a bilingual (French-English) family and live in the only bilingual province in Canada- New Brunswick.
I have studied in France and took both my Law Degree and my Bachelor of Arts Degree primarily in French. I have completed my TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification and love teaching French and English to students on-line. I studied music in University and am an active singer in my community.
I love to teach through music and song as I believe that music plays a special part in learning for children. Through repetition of target vocabulary, songs provide a fun and effective way to learn a language. I believe that children learn the most when they are engaged and having FUN so I strive to make every learning experience as fun and interactive as possible!
I can’t wait to see you in class! À bientôt!
