In France, food is an enormous part of culture; the French love to eat and cook good food! In this course we will learn vocabulary for food items as well as the different locations where you can purchase these items in France. We will learn how to ask for these items, pay for these items, and talk about how you are going to cook your meal. Week 1: We will learn vocabulary and practice using that vocabulary in conversation. Students will learn French vocabulary for food, grocery shopping, and cooking. They will apply that vocabulary to ask for items in a store, and talk about how they are going to cook the food that they purchased in a recipe.
I am a former French teacher who taught middle school and high school for 10 years. I have a bachelors degree in French from Smith College, and lived in France for the 2011-2012 school year in an exchange program.
