No formal homework is assigned, but students are encouraged to practice outside of the regular meeting time to build their confidence and skill before the next lesson.Class Experience
Beginner Crochet is a hands-on crochet lesson designed specifically for absolute beginners to the art of crochet. Students will learn how to make a slip knot, chain, and do basic crochet stitches, as well as learning about the basic tools and supplies needed to crochet. After learning these basis skills, the students will start crocheting basis pieces. We will move toward making wash rags with the 100% yard that can be used to wash dishes. Then, we will work towards making a scarf with the acrylic yarn. Check the supply tab and make sure to have all supplies needed prior to the first class session. Week 1: Learn basic stitches and make rags Week 2: Finish rag is needed and then make scarfs
Learning Goals
Students should ultimately feel confident in their ability to make a slipknot, crochet a chain, and ultimately produce a simple single or double crochet stitch.
