In this one time course, students will learn how to harness the confidence of a runway model and practice their runway walks.

In this class, students will learn how to project the confidence of a runway model and how to do the famous runway walk! They will learn where to look with their eyes, what to do with their hands, and how to turn once they've reached the end of the runway. When discussing the modeling industry, emphasis will not be placed on height or weight, but the overall healthy lifestyle, positive attitude, and uniqueness of the model. Class Structure: Ice breakers: Students will be asked confidence-boosting questions such as "what is your favorite thing about yourself?" and fashion related questions like "what is your favorite article of clothing to wear?" Discussion About the Modeling Industry: Students will learn about the confidence required of models to be able to pose for photos and walk on the runway while knowing that thousands of people are looking at them. Models of all shapes, colors and sizes will be used as examples. Students will be encouraged to share their modeling goals and ask questions of a former model. And finally, *Runway Walk* training!

Beyond perfecting their runway walks, students will leave this class knowing that self-confidence and their own uniqueness are their best model assets.

Supply List
Students will be asked to either wear all black (the model casting "uniform"), or an outfit in which they feel very confident! Students will need enough space to practice their runway walk, a minimum of 6 paces.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
