Beast Academy is published by Art of Problem-Solving as a lead-in to their rigorous middle school and high school textbooks for advanced students. Beast Academy is a comprehensive and challenging curriculum for students ages 8‑13. It comprises of four levels. Each level is split into four units, A‑D. Beast Academy teaches the mathematical concepts by using puzzles and keeps the kids fully engaged and immersed in learning. Each book has three chapters. Each chapter has 100-150 practice problems, ranging in difficulty from very basic practice problems to “double-star” problems: challenging multi-step problems that often require quite a bit of time and thought. Overall, Beast Academy has far fewer basic computation problems than other curricula. Instead, basic skills practice is incorporated into the more complex problems.

To see if Beast Academy is the right fit for your child. Please check out the Beast Academy website. To assess the level of your child use this assessment link: https://beastacademy.com/resources/placementtests

In this semester we will cover the Beast Academy Level 4C . Beast academy is also available online but I feel that the students this age work better with the problems in front of them and it reduces their homework time on screen.

Class 1-3:
Lesson 1 on Factors

Class 4-6:
Lesson 2 on Fractions

Class 7-9 :
Lesson 3 on Integer

Class 10 & 11 : Recap and Revision of all the concepts in a game based format

These topics start off slow but engage the learners by presenting content in different ways and forms. Students will be assigned homework and are expected to complete that so they are prepared with questions. I will have availability during the week to assist if anyone is stuck on some questions from the homework.

If needed grades can be provided for the students.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am a homeschooling mom to three kids (ages 12,10 and 6) a girl scouts troop leader and a math and science enthusiast!

I have a Bachelors in Computer Science and a Masters in Management Information System. I worked in a software engineering firm till we decided to homeschool. I love to code and I love to create games! For my coding classes, I believe in teaching the critical thinking skills to make sure my learners are able to code themselves and not just copy!

My goal would always be to make sure each of my student is able to grasp the concepts fully therefore I will always have a small class size! I believe in differentiated learning which means targeting all sorts of learners- auditory, visual and kinesthetic.

I am qualified to teach Middle School Math. My goal is to teach math for real life application. My classes are very hands-on and interactive and I like to make math fun to learn. I love challenging math and can be found spending my free time solving a complicated math puzzle.

I am fluent in Urdu as well as English.
