Class Experience

In this art club, we will take a look at a variety of different artists and their artwork. I will screen share one piece of artwork at a time, for our class discussion. We will take a look at 2 to 4 works of art per each class.

We will get to experience and discuss art from different time periods and from various countries. Different cultures will be represented, to get a worldview of art from different cultures.

Students will learn to appreciate art as a creative work of the individual artist, as well as representative of the art style of the time period, and representative of the culture it was created in.

Each student will have the opportunity to give their opinions, ideas and interpretations, to promote critical and creative thinking skills. Students will be encouraged to use critical thinking as well as share their feelings and opinions in thoughtful way.

We will look at art through the ages, but not necessarily in chronological order. That way, we can have a drop - in club style, so that you can join at any time, without being behind on anything covered in a previous session.
