Be a Project Leader: Boost Your Confidence With Group Projects!

Do group projects find you confused and wondering where to start? "Begin with the end in mind," says Stephen Covey, author of the iconic book "The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People." In this one-time class we will explore this statement by Covey as it relates to the highly transferable skill of project management! We will discuss best practices such as goal setting, planning, and execution, and bring those concepts together in ways that are relevant to the learner age group. Learners will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive project planning session where we will develop strategies for managing time and resources. 

MY TEACHING STYLE: I lead my class with warmth and respect for each learner, regardless of where they may be on their journey. I believe each class is an opportunity to inspire and be inspired, so it's important to show up with a positive attitude and an open mind. My class is a blend of lecture/slides and guided discussion. I use a Google Slide presentation to engage the class and illustrate points. Open, guided discussion is important to the cadence of this class; however, while class participation is encouraged, it is not required.
