Homework
1 hour per week. Take-home tasks at times (research, quizzes). Learners be completing tasks individually or as a group, No culminating project that learners should expect to complete. Homework takes between 5-10mins of class meetings. Learners will have approximately 1 page reading independently (often infographics to assist with their research).

🍎 Course Overview

My club is structured to build a strong foundation in finance, key life and transferable skills for positioning in the future of work/career. My club focuses on teaching pupils aged 11-14 how to develop useful financial skills to help prepare them for their future and the world of work. Each lesson in the suite is adapted to suit each club class. Throughout this lesson, there are a range of activities designed to help students understand the link between core transferable skills and financial capability.

By blending Montessori principles with innovative educational strategies to create an inclusive, engaging, student-centered learning environment, students will learn through exploration, discussion, and real-world application. Each week, we'll focus on a new theme, starting with the Week 1 Topic and gradually moving upwards through the subsequent week topics as outlined below;

Sections 8-12:
Once new term begins (SEPTEMBER)
One 55-minute classes running Mon-Friday 12pm-3pm MST/MDT (i.e 12-12:55, 1-1:55, 2-2:55, 3-3:55 etc.)

The topics build on and further explore those covered in previous learning and provide pupils the opportunity to put their financial literacy skills into practice through group activities whilst also developing the 8 core transferable skills; Adaptability, Aiming high/proactivity, Creativity, Leadership, Listening and speaking/Communication, Problem solving, Resilience, and Teamwork skills through and animation which students will thoroughly explore. The whole suite of resources has been awarded the Young Money Quality Mark. Lessons help to build positive money habits in the future whilst practicing elements of maths.
