In this Ballet Dance Class, learners will learn Ballet Barre exercises, a step of the week, various Ballet movement combinations and will end with a dance game or freeze dance!
Class experience
This traditional Ballet Dance class will begin with Ballet Barre Exercises. We will then learn a step of the week and put the step into various combinations that will be practiced. The class focus will be on technique and learning proper Ballet Terminology. We will end each class with a game of Freeze Dance. Your child will learn Ballet dance steps in a creative and positive learning environment. They will work on Ballet Technique, learn various patterns and Ballet Terminology. Dancing to music also teaches the student how to develop rhythm and musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!
Learners will need to have something to hold on for balance. A Ballet Barre, if they have one, or the back of a chair.
Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury.
