Class Experience

In this one week flex baking class we will make delicious gingersnap cookies from scratch.

1. In this baking class your student will learn how to bake gingersnap cookies from scratch to share with family and friends.

2. Baking involves learning and practicing measurement and math.

3. Your student will practice reading and following directions.

4. Your student will practice problem solving, creativity and science.

5. Your student will be able to interact with other students, enhancing social skills.

While this is not a live class, it is still interactive. Your student will be baking right along with me while following my original video.

I will demonstrate step by step, making sure we move along together through completing the recipe. I have a camera that is dedicated just to the work station so your student can see exactly what is taking place.

The recipe, supply list and video links will be uploaded into the classroom on the first day of class. Your student will have 7 days to bake their cookies and share a photo of the baked product in the classroom.

Students will be encouraged to share pictures of the finished product with me, and if they would like, to post it in the classroom for others to see their finished product.

I am always happy to provide a recipe with substitutions for any allergies that your student may have.

I enjoy baking and cooking in my kitchen. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with kids, including my own elementary school son. Baking and Cooking are one of our favorite classes to do together in our homeschool.

My second degree is in Culinary Arts and I graduated from Le Cordon Bleu Miami. Since graduation, some of my industry experience includes cooking at a Disney Resort as well as Catering for Aramark. I have also owned my own catering and cake business. I have taught cooking and baking classes to both adults and kids online and in person.

I am so excited to be able to share my knowledge and look forward to seeing your students in class!
