In this exciting summer camp offering students will be learning about some of the bugs that may live in their back yard! Class will be hands on with using playdough, writing activities, drawing and actually catching their own bugs to bring to class (if they want- not required). Some of the bugs we will discuss are ant, spider, stinkbug, caterpillar, lantern fly (invasive species) and more! We will talk about the different body parts of bugs, what they eat, how they survive and some other information about each insect! Teacher will send a supply list prior to class that includes a safe bug catching kit- to keep the bug alive with plenty of air so the student can safely share with other students during class. I will ask that students release their bug right after class back into their yard. 1 STEM homework project will be assigned. This is guaranteed to be a BUGGY good time!
